Virginias top offensive tackle

Clifton (Va.) Centreville offensive tackle Pat Sheil has one scholarship in writing and up to four more verbal offers. Sheil, an imposing tackle, may decide early. Does he have a leader?
"I would say that Virginia is the leader for Pat. They have offered him in writing," said Centreville head coach Mike Skinner about his 6-foot-7, 270 pound tackle who runs the 40-yard dash in 5.0 seconds.

What other schools are showing interest in Sheil?
"He is hearing from a ton of schools. The most persistent suitors are Virginia, Syracuse, Florida, and Southern California. I expect him to have over twenty offers by the end of the summer, but I am not sure he will wait that long," said Skinner.
Coach Skinner said that he encourages his players to commit early so that the recruiting process doesn't affect the player's school life or athletic life.
"It is up to the player, not me, but my players that have offers from the schools they are interested in, generally commit early. If a player covets an offer from one of their favorites who has not offered, they wait."
How would Skinner describe Sheil?
"He is a tremendous athlete for his size. He has incredible footwork and is quite agile. He is a hard-nosed player and one of the toughest kids I have ever coached. He also has what every great offensive lineman wants, long arms. He has great strength and a great motor."
