Virginia TE is one to watch

Colleges are taking a look at jumbo 2012 tight end Salim Charles out of Harrisonburg, Va. The 6-foot-7, 195-pounder has yet to receive much interest to date, but it's only a matter of time after a strong junior season.
"I did well this year," he said. "I ended up with almost 600-yards receiving on 20 receptions and eight touchdowns. I was all-district and all-league.

"I think my hands are really good. I don't drop a lot of balls and my height too. People don't think I'm as fast as I am, but I'm pretty fast."
A talented basketball player as well, Charles averages 21-points and 11 rebounds.
In terms of recruiting, he has yet to get much interest, but has visited a few schools.
"I haven't really gotten mail yet," he said. "I did go to North Carolina with Landon (Turner). They were talking to me. I like James Madison when I went there for a camp."
What is Charles looking for in a school?
"I just want a good experience and to get a good education," he said. "I'm a good student, I think I want to go into astronomy. I don't care where I play, I'm originally from Tampa, Florida, but I moved here when I was really young, three or four."
