Virginia tackle favors Herd

Staunton (Va.) Robert E Lee offensive tackle A.J. Scott may not remember watching Chad Pennington or Randy Moss suit up for Marshall, but he's plenty impressed with the Herd program nonetheless.
Scott, a 6-foot-5, 265-pound lineman, currently holds offers from James Madison and Liberty. Those two schools, he claims, offered him a while back after the end of his junior season.

Since then he has been in contact with several others.
"I've been talking to schools like Virginia. I've been talking to Marshall. Coach said he got a call from UNC and Virginia Tech."
Scott attended one of Virginia's spring practices and said the trip to Charlottesville was a good experience.
"I'm just gonna be going to a lot of camps this summer," he continued. "I'm gonna be going to the UVa camp, probably a Marshall camp, and most likely a Maryland camp."
Scott is impressive in the weight room and on the field. He bench presses 350 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds.
He admitted that one school is standing out.
"I'm liking Marshall right now. I like their academics and I just like their program."
