Defensive tackle DeMario Pressley is one of the top recruits in the class of 2004. While his top five has been fairly consistent for a long time, there have been some recent changes.
"Virginia and Virginia Tech have been recruiting me hard all along, and I guess I'm starting to think about them," said Pressley. "I'd put them in my top five. Right now the top five schools would be Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Miami and Virginia."
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive tackle from Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds and has seemingly limitless potential at the college level.
"A lot of people say that it's a two school race with North Carolina and Florida State," he said. "To be honest I've had a lot of interest in those schools for a while, so yeah, they're up there. But it's not like I'm shutting the door on other schools. I'm still pretty open."
In addition to those five, Pressley has also shown interest in Oklahoma, Tennessee and other big-name programs. He hasn't set any of his official visits yet, but plans to do so very soon. Pressley is ranked as the No. 1 defensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com.
