Virginia RB visits WVU

Hampton, Va. running back Tron Martinez made his way to Morgantown over the weekend. The 5-foot-9, 186-pounder stopped through West Virginia for the Mountaineers spring game.
"It was fun, there were a lot of good players there from Virginia," he said. "I got there and toured the facilities and weight room. Then I got to go on the field and watch the players warm up. I was able to talk to some of the players in a big conference room. That is also where they showed us a highlight tape of last year's team and then we went to watch the spring game."

Martinez was impressed with the spring agme.
"It was a lot of fun," he said. "They have a good environment there and a lot of fans came out. I watched the running backs and they aren't the biggest, but tough, small and fast. They are very similar to me."
While on the visit, the Commonwealth tailback met with the coaches.
"I talked to Coach Stewart and Coach Beatty," he stated. "They just stressed grades and if I go there, they really care about you.
"Overall it was a good visit. The people there were very nice."
Currently Martinez has no other visits planned, but will attend the Nike Camp at Chapel Hill on May 2nd.
Other schools showing interest in Hampton Roads star include Ball State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Stanford, UCLA, Syracuse and East Carolina.
