School: Vienna (Va.) The Potomac School

Position: Quarterback
Size and speed: 6-foot-5, 210 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds.
Honors: N/A
Statistics: Locey missed his junior season with a knee injury. As a sophomore, he threw for 1,500 yards with 16 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
Favorite schools: Virginia, Boston College, Maryland, Duke, Florida.
Skinny: Locey has the build and arm of a D-1 quarterback but he needs to have an impressive summer to overcome his injury last season. Mobility will be the biggest question.
“Brent moves well for his size and his injury shouldn’t have any affect on that,” said his father, Bernard. “Coaches like his arm strength and size.”
Locey plays on a small team but is still attracting quite a bit of attention.
“There are only around 33 kids playing on the team so a lot of players go both ways,” his father said. “Brent is getting a lot of mail right now and he hopes to camp at Maryland, Virginia, Princeton, Duke and Florida this summer to earn some offers.”
Despite his injury, Locey will be ranked as one of the top quarterback prospects in Virginia if he can show increased mobility this summer. Right now he doesn’t have a favorite.
“He’s looking for a good program with excellent coaches and academics,” said his father. “It’s still so early in the process that he’s just starting to learn more about the schools.”
