Virginia OL makes a decision

Richmond (Va.) Varina offensive lineman Marquis Wallace has come to a decision. The 6-foot-3, 284-pounder visited his lone offer earlier today and made a commitment this afternoon.
"I committed to West Virginia," he said. "I'm on my way back now.

"The coaches were great. Recruiting was getting tiring for me anyway. West Virginia is a place I can come in and they said I can play any position on the offensive line. I'll have an opportunity to play as a freshman."
How did West Virginia's coaches react to the news?
"I told Coach Beatty, Coach Johnson and Coach Stewart," he said. "They were fired up. They talked about their plan with me in the future."
Did anything else stick out about West Virginia to Wallace?
"It was everything for me," he said. "The atmosphere to academics to great people around the area and the offensive line coach knows what he's doing. Plus, the team is family members, it's not just talk about football."
As far as playing time, Wallace has a chance to play early.
"They didn't get into too much depth about it, but I have a chance to play any position on the line."
