Virginia OL lands first offer

Manassas (Va.) Osbourn is home to a pair of big name recruits in Dominique Terrell and Timmy Keith. A third Division I prospect has emerged at the school with an official offer from the MAC.
"I got my first offer from Miami (Ohio)," Osbourn offensive guard Marcus Matthews said. "They gave me a verbal awhile back and I just got my letter in the mail a couple days ago.

"I think it's good. It gives me an edge. I know Ben Roethlisberger used to play there. That's about all I know about them. I'm trying to get up there for a visit sometime, but I don't know the date."
A couple other schools including Old Dominion and Richmond are also showing interest.
Matthews maintains no favorites at this time, but did discuss what he wants in a college.
"I want a good academic program, a good football program, that'd be the best things," he said. "I just want a nice school."
After losing about 30-pounds in the offseason, Matthews sits at 6-foot-3, 295-pounds.
"I've been doing good this year, I feel a lot faster since I'm down from 320," he said. "So far, our team has won all three games."
