Virginia OL blowing up

Offers are coming fast for offensive tackle Alex Stadler out of Bealeton (Va.) Liberty and now he's even seen an offer from one of the biggest schools in the country.
The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder just recently added an offer from the Miami Hurricanes.

"Miami really impresses me," he said. "It kind of shocked me that such a big name school is offering me so early, it's phenomenal and I never thought I would make it to that point. It doesn't get any bigger than Miami, but all the offers are great and they all have a great education. I can't complain about anything so far."
Where does that put Miami in his recruitment?
"Of course they're up there, with everybody else," he said. "As the process has gone along, bigger schools have stepped up and these are now national contenders. It's really impressive and I already know that distance won't be a factor for me; I'm just looking at a place where I can spend four years of my life."
Stadler also gained recent offers Virginia Tech and Maryland.
"Maryland is a big offer close to home," he said. "They've been good here the last couple of years and I'm definitely looking into it."
The one from Virginia Tech certainly means something, being that was a childhood favorite for him.
"I've been a fan of Tech since I was little," he said. "I went to a camp there when I was ten and I've been a big fan of theirs. Being such a big fan, it's a childhood dream come true with all these schools offering me, but it's still all up in the air as to my favorites."
Stadler expects a few more offers to roll in, in the near future including ones from Virginia and North Carolina State among others.
Stadler's upcoming tour is going to be a major event as he is planning to travel to Miami, Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Florida and Florida State all in one week.
Stadler has also taken in a few junior day visits as well including trips to North Carolina State, North Carolina, Maryland and Virginia.
"They've all been real nice," he said. "I talked to coach John Bunting from North Carolina and he showed me the facilities himself and I even got to see them getting ready for spring ball that really impressed me about my trip."
So are there any colleges Stadler is still hoping to hear from?
"I'd like to see more from schools out West," he said. "I want to get a feel for what they're colleges are like including Southern Cal and UCLA."
This spring the tackle prospect is training for next season.
"I'm still working on my speed to get that up," he said. "That's probably the part of my game that needs the most work. I'm also doing strength training and agility with various drills as well as track including shot putt and discus which is working on my footwork. I've seen a big improvement from last year particularly on my speed and quickness, they've increased tremendously."
Currently, Stadler's offer list includes Maryland, Virginia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Syracuse, Rutgers, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Duke, Bowling Green and Temple.
