Virginia LB claims ACC offer

Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor linebacker Boogie McCray picked up his first offer recently. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder landed the scholarship from the ACC.
"I got an offer from North Carolina State when I went there for the ECU game a couple weeks ago," he said. "I feel good about the offer. They are showing interest in me and I like the school. I like their facilities and the strength and conditioning coach.

"I also like the way the team plays and how they coach the team. They keep fighting."
Is anyone else close to offering?
"Not that I know of," he said. "East Carolina came to the school and Virginia Tech was at the school on Friday. They want some film. I'm also receiving interest from ODU and North Carolina."
McCray plans to take another unofficial visit in the near future.
"I'm going to NC State for the Florida State game (October 16th)."
Does McCray claim a favorite?
"I like NC State," he said. "I like their team's swagger and I'm looking forward to going back down there."
In the meantime, McCray has been a major factor for why Lake Taylor is 6-0.
"We're still undefeated and taking one game at a time," he said. "I'm doing well. I've run for 759-yards and 13 touchdowns."
