Virginia junior adds big offer

Junior running back J.C. Coleman of Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith already held three offers coming into Thursday, so college coaches coming in to see him is nothing new. However, a visit today from an in-state program brought Coleman his fourth offer.
"Virginia Tech offered today," said Coleman, who already held offers from West Virginia, Florida International and Old Dominion. "It's very exciting."

The offer came with a personal touch.
"They came by the school today and told my coach," said Coleman, who is 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds. "It was Coach Beamer and Coach Newsome."
While each of his three previous offers were also special to Coleman, the in-state Hokies offer definitely intrigues the junior running back.
"I like the Hokies," said Coleman. "Of course they are the in-state school, so my family would be able to come to games. I'm very much interested in them."
Coleman has yet to visit Virginia Tech, but will look to change that soon.
"I'm hoping to eventually visit there," said Coleman. "I'll have to talk to my dad and see when it's the best time."
During his junior season, Coleman finished with 1,407 yards and 20 touchdowns on 152 carries.
