Virginia impresses Aboushi

Late last week Brooklyn (N.Y.) Xaverian offensive tackle Oday Aboushi backed out of a verbal pledge to Boston College and said he would be looking at other options.
At the time the 6-foot-6, 300-pound lineman said Boston College was still a possible destination. Since then, however, he has learned that is unlikely.

"I don't think (Boston College) is going to be an option for me," Aboushi said Sunday evening.
He did take a trip to Virginia over the weekend and came away with a positive impression of what the Cavaliers have to offer.
"It went really well there. I hung out with the coaches and got to see the campus during the day, and at night we just hung out with the players.
"It was just really good overall. They have a bunch of great guys and I got along with them great. I could definitely see myself going to school there."
It was the first official visit of the recruiting process for Aboushi, so it is difficult for him to compare schools at this point.
"Being my first visit I can't really judge them against many others," he explained. "I know I'm probably going to visit Maryland and Rutgers. Beyond that it's up in the air."
