Virginia DT waiting for more offers

Defensive tackle Ryan Jackson out of Forest (Va.) Brookville School continues to hold one offer from Liberty. The 6-foot-3, 287-pounder has just sent out film to over a half dozen schools in hopes of gaining more offers.
"I just sent tape to Virginia, Virginia Tech, NC State, UNC, Georgia, Florida State, VMI and JMU," he said. "I've talked to some of the coaches and I guess we'll just see what happens. All of them are waiting to see the film."

Jackson hasn't sat down to consider visits this season.
"I'm not really sure," he said. "I plan to take some, but my options are still open right now."
Obviously the season is going to be critical for the Commonwealth lineman. How's it going for him?
"I'm doing pretty well," he said. "I don't like to talk myself up, but I've got somewhere around 25 tackles, 16 solos and three sacks. I think a lot of the colleges want to see me improve my lateral movement and quickness off the ball. I'm taking steps to work on that.
"Our team is doing well too, we're 2-2. We have a lot of talent and potential. That doesn't mean anything if you don't back it up. We just have to put it all together."
