Virginia DE likes the Terps

Mark Wilson believes he's on the cusp of more offers.
It's just a matter of showing he has made progress in the classroom, according to the Hampton (Va.) Phoebus junior.

His three offers, from Illinois, Delaware and Hampton, came just this past weekend so he's just now making a name for himself in recruiting circles.
"I just sent my highlight tape out," he said, explaining the recent offers. "They all just offered me based on my film."
Wilson said he has spoken with coaches from each of the three schools that have offered. The only school he has visited so far was James Madison. That was for a junior day.
"I have plenty of visits in mind but I'm just trying to narrow it down so I can set dates. With my parents working it's just kind of hard," he said.
Wilson registered 12 sacks last year and probably projects as a defensive end in college.
One school is standing out so far.
"I like Maryland a lot and they're waiting on the grade thing so they should know more soon," Wilson said. "I'm going up there on April 21 for their spring game.
"I just like everything about them. I like the school's location and what they have to offer. The guy that's been recruiting me from Maryland has been up there like 12 years and that's big. I don't want to get to a school and have all the coaches leave.
"I've talked to somebody else that was recruited by them and they said they keep their word. And I just like the jersey thing they've got going on."
