Virginia DE is rising

Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside is getting a lot of notice due in large part to Rivals250 cornerback Demetrious Nicholson. The team has a second Division I recruit on the team, an emerging defensive end in Jeton Beavers.
"I got an East Carolina offer at the end of June when I went to their camp," he said. "East Carolina is a good school. I am thinking about committing to East Carolina, but I don't want to do it too soon. I want to hold on and see if I get more offers."

Who else is eyeing the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder?
"Louisville is sending letters, South Florida, Tennessee, Clemson and Temple has talked to me," he stated. "Since I didn't have a chance to go to camps, all of them want to see my highlight tape at the end of the season, so I'm going to play my hardest and go from there."
Beavers claims a couple schools stand out early on.
"I like North Carolina and South Florida," he said. "I've liked South Florida since I was a little kid, they've been a good team and their school is in a good area.
"I like North Carolina cause I went there for camp and liked what I saw."
The Bayside lineman missed last season due to academics, but is rising now as he's improving his grades.
"I couldn't play last year because of my grades, but I've been studying every day and getting straight A's and on the honor roll," he said. "I'm working hard to meet the NCAA clearinghouse. I'm up about a 2.2 or 2.3 and take the SAT in October."
