Virginia DB attends first camp

Chesapeake (Va.) Deep Creek safety Devin Arrington took in his first camp earlier this week. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder headed west to Huntington to get a closer look at Marshall.
"I went to Marshall on Sunday. It went good," he said. "I learned some stuff there, met the coaches and did some technique drills. I learned the tradition of Marshall.

"While I was there, I talked to all of the coaches from the head coach down to the positional coaches. They were just telling me that I was running well and looked good. They didn't really mention anything about offering, but overall it was a nice experience for me."
Arrington has plenty more camps coming up.
"This weekend I'm going to East Carolina," he said. "Then on the 24th of this month I'm headed to Virginia. I'm going to go to Virginia Tech on July 14th and possibly Akron at the end of July.
"I just want to see the same things like I did at Marshall. I want the schools to show me the tradition and more."
Previously, the Hampton Roads prospect stated Virginia Tech was his leader. Is that still the case?
"Definitely Tech is still," he said. "I've just been growing up on them, watching them on TV. I think it's also because a lot of players from my high school went there."
