Virginia CB looking for more offers
Cornerback Leonard Smith out of Midlothian (Va.) Manchester holds one offer from Temple. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder is looking to add more scholarships once he starts the season tonight.
"Our first game is tonight against Thomas Dale," he stated. "Last scrimmage against Meadowbrook I caught three passes and rushed for 15-yards. I had about four tackles.

"I felt like I still have some work on my speed and tackling, but I have seen a big improvement. The entire defense is better and faster."
On the recruiting front, is anyone else close to offering?
"Not right now, I've got to send tape this year before I see a scholarship," he said. "I'm hearing from Virginia, Maryland and Marshall.
"I'm actually looking at taking a visit up to those schools for some games. A lot of those are saying they'll look at me as a cornerback or safety. At first I didn't like that, but now I'm happy with it. I play more defense than offense anyway."
