Virginia ATH is getting interest

Interest is rising for Newport News (Va.) Warwick athlete Lamonte' Williams. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder is getting looks from a few schools in the ACC and Conference USA. Does he have any favorites?
"Right now Virginia, Marshall and Maryland are showing the most interest," Warwick head coach Stan Sexton said. "He's getting a lot of letters from the SEC and I'm hoping Virginia Tech will start to ask about him."

Sexton is looking to get Williams on some visits in the near future.
"We're hoping to take him up to Virginia and Maryland. Marshall and Virginia definitely want him to come up for one day camp invitations."
The Commonwealth prospect has flown a bit under the radar.
"In our district everyone knows you have to shut him down," he said. "He has flown under the radar in comparison to some of the bigger athletes around here. He has so much upside. He's a dynamic player who you have to know where he is on both sides of the ball at all times.
"Defensively he's got a great nose for the ball and he'll hit you. He brings a load when he hits you. He's strong and fast. He could be a shutdown corner. Offensively he threw for 1,100-yards and ran for 650-yards. He had 16 touchdown runs in his career over 50-yards. He's also a great kid and has solid grades with a 2.5 GPA."
