Tight end Justin Virbitsky holds four offers from the ACC and MAC. Recently, the 6-foot-5, 251-pounder wrapped up his season, is he now preparing to look into visits?
"I'm trying to plan some of them," he said. "I've got to work it out with basketball. I think I'm going to visit Duke, Pittsburgh and maybe Buffalo. More than likely the visits will all be in January."
The Jermyn (Pa.) Lakeland prospect holds offers from Akron, Buffalo, Temple and Duke. He is also hearing from two other colleges.
"Pittsburgh and Villanova are talking to me," he said. "They both came to my school recently and said they are looking at offering me. I don't know what the wait is for."
Clearly a number of schools are still very interested in the two-star prospect. Is there a leader?
"I'm still pretty open right now. I've got a lot of schools to choose from."
Lakeland finished the season 8-4.
"It was a good season," Virbitsky said. "It was a little disappointing. We wanted to go farther.
"I think I had a good year. I don't know my statistics, but I improve since last season. I think the extra year of experience helped."
In the meantime, Virbitsky is just starting up basketball and will begin games next week.
