Vinson makes his decision

Former Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison standout Dominque Vinson was a member of the class of 2007 but due to academic reasons, didn't sign with anyone out of high school. Vinson enrolled at Saddleback JC (Calif.), worked hard in the classroom and has now qualified and also made his college choice.
Vinson, 5-10, 165 pounds was an all-state selection a year ago at receiver and can also play defensive back at the college level. Grades were the only thing holding Vinson back a year ago from holding double digit offers but things have definitely worked out well for Vinson in the end.

"I just committed to Boise State," Vinson said. "I took my official visit there this past weekend and really liked it. It just felt like home and I had a lot of fun on the visit.
"I like the coaches there a lot. They were very straight forward and honest with me and I can tell they're the kind of coaches who I'll be able to really trust while I'm there. I also got along great with the players on the team. They were all very cool with me and treated me like I was one of them already.
"Another bonus is having Hunter (White- former teammate) there. It's always good to go somewhere where you already know someone and Hunter is a good friend so I'm very excited. Things worked out great for me. Even though I enrolled at Saddleback, I didn't play football so I still have all my eligibility left and will be able to enroll in time for Spring ball at Boise State."
