Vincent Hill clears the air

Back in June, wide receiver Vincent Hill out of Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly committed to Akron. Then a couple weeks ago, the 5-foot-10, 174-pounder switched his pledge to Virginia. Now Hill has switched his pledge one last time before Signing Day.
"I'm planning to sign with Akron on Wednesday," he said. "I got my grades up and I'll be headed there this fall when I get qualified. I'm still looking to prep only if I have to, but that's a last resort now."

What made the three-star prospect switch his pledge back to the Zips?
"I chose Akron instead of Virginia because basically they are my home away from home," he said. "I like the coaches, they have nice facilities and coach Alford is like a father to me.
"They took interest in me before I had other offers. I consider them my family now and they also have the major I want."
Hill is going in with a chance to get on the field next season for Akron.
"They are really excited to have me and told me to come in and be ready to work hard," he said. "I have to do my work, but if I show up in practice there is no doubt I'll be playing as a true freshman. I just got to get bigger and stronger before I go."
