Vick Names Leader

Newport News (Va.) Warwick superstar Marcus Vick has finally named a clear leader – and it’s not good for the two in-state schools.
“I really like Miami the best right now,” said the 6-foot, 180-pound dual-threat quarterback. “My official visits will tell the final story, but Miami is my favorite right now.”

Vick, the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons rookie quarterback Michael Vick, has things narrowed down to five schools but hasn’t set his visits yet.
“After Miami, I like Tennessee, Florida State, Virginia and Georgia,” he said. “Everyone has a chance among those schools, but Miami looks like a great fit right now. Michael (Johnson) and I will probably take a visit down there together. I’ve heard a lot about the visits there.”
And what of Virginia Tech and Virginia?
“I’m not interested in Virginia Tech and I’ve said that from the start,” he said. “Virginia is an option and I don’t think it would be too weird playing for my brother’s biggest rival. People have asked if that would be a lot of pressure, but I don’t think it would. I’ll consider all five teams seriously and the visits will tell.”
