Vick could play both ways in college

Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly safety Rakeem Vick has received some local interest from Division I schools. Who has been in touch with the 5-foot-10, 195-pounder with 4.56-second speed?
"He's getting mail from schools like Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, Temple and Maryland," Friendly head coach Marcus Berry said. "He's real wide open like all my players right now."

At Friendly, Vick is a running back and safety. Where will he play at the next level?
"I think he'll get a look to play both ways, but I think he really wants to play running back," he said. "Watching him on film I believe he'll more likely be a strong safety because he hits people like a linebacker, but can cover like a defensive back. He's a very competitive guy and I would say he's the leader of the team on both sides of the ball. He takes charge and everybody will do what he says."
Vick plans to go to the Nike Camp at Penn State along with a combine at Greenbelt High School. This summer he plans to take in camps at Virginia.
