Versatile JUCO prospect holds two offers

As Memphis continues to mine the junior college ranks, a new versatile athlete has emerged on the Tigers' radar and the interest appears to be mutual. Billy Foster out of Visalia (Calif.) College of the Sequoias holds an offer from Memphis and Akron and already has plans to take a visit to the Volunteer State.
"I got an offer from Akron and Memphis and I'm about to take an official visit to Memphis on December 12," Foster said. "I say Memphis has the upper hand because I've got former players that I played with out here that are up there. It's about equal (between Memphis and Akron) but Memphis has the upper hand because of personnel."

Though Foster has some connections to the Memphis program, he also has an interest in what Akron has to offer.
"At Akron I like the way they used their athletes," he said. "I like how they run the ball and stuff like that."
Foster is a versatile prospect that could line up at a number of different positions for a major college program. In fact, he is already lining up all over the field in the junior college ranks.
"Some are recruiting me as a wide receiver, some are recruiting me as an athlete to play whatever fits," he said. "I'll play anywhere just to better the team. I just like winning. Right now I play all around. One game I'm at receiver, the next game I'm at quarterback, the next game I'm at running back. The only position I haven't really played is cornerback."
Along with Memphis and Akron, Foster thinks he may be close to offers from Oregon State and Boise State and has also received interest from Southern Miss and South Florida. The Ft. Lauderdale native says that location will not be a major factor.
"Once I get there, it really wouldn't matter," he said. "I'm just going to the better program where I can fit in and play football so it really wouldn't matter, East, West or whatever."
