Williams is seeking a college program that will take greatest advantage of
his skills.
"I'm looking for a place where I'll fit into the system
best," he said. "We're run-and-gun (at Lovejoy High School), and I'd like to
play in an open offense like that."
It comes as little surprise that Clemson is atop his
list of favorites.
"Their offense is just like ours," Williams said. "Plus,
they've been recruiting me for a long time and I really like the way they've
treated me. I've liked everything I've heard about the school."
Joining the Tigers in his top five are North Carolina,
Georgia, Ole Miss and Florida. He attended camp at Ole Miss earlier this month
and will go to Florida this weekend.
"Ole Miss was fun.  I liked the campus a lot and
they have a lot of tradition going for them," he said. "I'm really looking
forward to the Florida camp now so I can see how it stacks up."
Williams (5-8, 165, 4.4) had an outstanding all-around
season as a junior at Lovejoy. He had more than 600 yards in both rushing and
receiving while scoring 13 touchdowns.
"I'm a versatile back," he said. "I like to run and
catch the ball equally, so I really don't have a preference. Some places are
recruiting me as a running back and others as a flanker. I just like the ball in
my hands with a chance to make something happen."
