Versatile 2019 ATH Cameron Henderson enjoys Alabama camp experience

Cameron Henderson ()

The Latest: Class of 2019 Louisiana athlete Cameron Henderson is gearing up to start his sophomore season but he's already become quite a veteran on the summer camp circuit. Most recently he toured several Southeast schools, including escorting his Rivals100 teammate, wide receiver Devonta Smith, to Alabama. According to Henderson, the Tide liked what they saw and now he's firmly on the radar of the coaching staff. Rivals.com caught up with Henderson to get his take on the visit and camp experience with the Tide.

In His Words: " I’ve been going to a lot of camps. I got a lot of good feedback at Alabama. They told me they like what they see from me. I’ve been talking to Coach Napier quite a bit on Twitter. He’s a good coach, I like what he does. They told me I would fit well into their offense as a guy who is like a guy who can do a bunch of different things. They said I just need to grow a little bit. They didn’t give me a certain height I need to get to they just said they're going to be watching me as I get older."

Rivals Reaction: Henderson is a speedy do-it-all prospect who has experience playing running back, wide receiver and quarterback. The Tide have had success in Louisiana in recent years and have made his teammate Smith a top priority in the 2017 class. While it's too early for a player of Henderson's stature to earn an offer, he could be a name to remember down the road.
