Vereen adds Big Ten offer

Valencia, Calif., three-star cornerback Brock Vereen has landed his second scholarship offer. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder already had an offer on the table from Stanford, but he said Wednesday an offer came in from the Big Ten.
"I got a Minnesota offer," Vereen said.

The offer definitely was one that got Vereen pumped up.
"I'm excited about the offer," he said. "I just like the way they play defense. Their physicality definitely separates them from other teams. I think I could be a really good fit in their system. I just love the way that they play defense, and I like my recruiter, coach Ronnie Lee."
Vereen has the tools to be an excellent cornerback in college, according to his coach Larry Muir.
"I just think he's a terrific corner," Muir said.
"He's a very good special teams player, and we're looking for him to have more of an impact over there this season. He's the most instinctual corner we've had here. He positions himself really well, is a smart player and he breaks terrific on the ball. He's also physical and tackles really well."
