Jihad Vercher had a tremendous junior season and put up big-time statistics but the Los Angeles Salesian quarterback still only has an offer from Northern Arizona.
That could change soon.
Vercher, a 5-foot-11, 179-pound prospect, said this weekend at the Fourth Quarter Sports Elite 7-on-7 Tournament at his high school that Minnesota, Boise State, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Cal and others are showing interest.

If Vercher continues to send out film and if he has some strong performances during the 7-on-7 and camp seasons then the Salesian prospect could be in line for some bigger offers.
He's hopeful things will pick up soon.
"I'm pretty much mainly hearing from West Coast schools at this point," Vercher said. "I still have that Northern Arizona offer and my coach said I could be close to some other offers, too."
In his junior season, Vercher threw for 3,281 yards with 38 touchdowns and eight interceptions and he also rushed for 302 yards and 11 scores. He helped lead Salesian to 10 wins.
With those kinds of numbers, Vercher is hopeful things will pick up soon in his recruitment.
"I'm excited about it," Vercher said. "This is my future opening up before my eyes and I can't wait for it to actually come true."
Vercher said he could visit Virginia, Arizona and Cal soon and might see Oregon and Washington State in the coming months.
