Venice WR racking up offers

B.J. Vickers (6-3, 207, 4.5) from Venice, Calif. has been a lightning rod for D-I schools so far this month. In an earlier report Pac10Recruiting had let it be known that USC, Cal, Washington, WSU, ASU, Arizona, Syracuse and West Virginia had offered the talented wide receiver from Venice high.
Since that report, many more schools have joined and have hopped on the Vickers bandwagon. Kansas, CSU, San Diego State, New Mexico, Fresno State and San Jose State have thrown their hats into the ring for the services of Vickers.

Tennessee head coach Phil Fulmer called Venice high school personally and talked to head coach Angelo Gasca. Fulmer said UT will be by the school and will be actively recruiting Vickers.
Tennessee, SMU, Nebraska, Colorado, Michigan and Notre Dame are on the cusp of offering Vickers and these schools could offer anyway.
Vickers was selected all-state, all-city and all-league after catching 67 passes, for over 1,500 passes and scored 15 TDs as a junior. For good measure, Vickers picked off five passes from his safety spot his junior season.
More on Vickers in the very near future, stay tuned…
