Vegas WR lands No. 3

Keep an eye on three-star wide receiver Taylor Spencer (6-1, 189, 4.5) from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman. He currently has three offers on the table and he is fast gaining the reputation as one of the best wide receivers in the Silver State.
As a junior, Spencer had 24 receptions for 566 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 23.6 yards per catch. That's a pretty high reception to touchdown ratio. He earned all-conference and all-region honorable mention for his efforts.

Spencer has offer from Northern Arizona, Utah and his most recent offer from UNLV. Besides the three schools that have offered, Spencer is getting recruiting attention from Arizona State, Oregon, Nebraska, and Colorado State.
The talented wide receiver prospect talks about his two Mountain West offers.
"UNLV's offer is good because it is close to home," Spencer said. "I have lived in Las Vegas now for about 10 years. I have played with a couple of UNLV's coach's sons."
"Utah has been undefeated two out of the last three years," Spencer said. "They played in the Sugar Bowl and should have played for the national championship. Utah runs out of the spread, which is good for a receiver."
Spencer is planning on taking an unofficial visit to Utah this summer. He has been to UNLV for a couple of games, a junior day and has taken an unofficial visit to the hometown school.
There is a chance that Spencer will take an unofficial visit to Oregon as well this summer.
Spencer camped at UCLA on Sunday, the first day of their three day camp and he was told that he did good and that the Bruins are going to keep an eye on him. He is thinking about going to the USC Rising Stars Camp on Wednesday other than that there are no more camps scheduled at this time.
What is Spencer looking for a college?
"First, I want to go to a school where I can get the best education," Spencer said. "Athletically, I want to go to the school that throws the football.
Location is going to somewhat important to Spencer. He is originally from Kansas and is very open to returning to the area because he still has a lot family in the area.
In an earlier interview with Bishop Gorman assistant coach Jerry Grimble, he had the following scouting report on Spencer.
"I think that Taylor is the best wide receiver in the state," Grimble said. "There is nobody even close.
"The thing that makes Taylor is he's so athletic," Grimble said. "He can jump, has great hands and tremendous concentration. He is by far the best athlete on the team."
