Vegas sleeper could be jackpot

Linebacker Nate Carter (6-2, 215, 4.6) from Las Vegas, Nev., is one to watch in the fall. He could become a household name with a big senior season.
Though Carter is somewhat of a sleeper he has already tallied up three offers from Idaho, Wyoming and hometown UNLV.

Besides the three offers, Carter talked to Florida State, Wake Forest, Fresno State, and Colorado State during the spring.
The scouting report on Carter is he is raw with unlimited potential. He's a hard worker and very coachable; two important ingredients to reach your promise.
It is obvious that Carter's best days on the gridiron are ahead of him. He's only been playing football since his freshman year.
Carter has worked hard in the off-season and has attended the D-I Camp in Florida, the NIKE Camp held in Los Angeles and UNLV's camp.
Carter currently benches 300, squats 410, power cleans 300 and recorded a 33-inch vertical.
What is Carter looking for in a college?
"I want to attend a school with a good business program," Carter said. "I want something in marketing.
"Academics are the most important thing to me. I would like to go to a school with a good football program but if I had to choose between a good academic program and a good football program, I would academics."
Because Carter has been busy with off-season football he hasn't had time to sit down with his family and football coach and decide on schools to visit. He will probably do so in a couple of weeks when the window of opportunity presents itself.
"I don't care how far away from home I go to attend a good school," Carter said. "If I do go far away from home there would have to be a good reason.
"If I ended up playing in town for UNLV it wouldn't be bad at all."
