Vegas big man is one to watch

Don't be surprised if defensive tackle/offensive tackle Nate Holloway (6-4, 327, 5.0) from Las Vegas (Nev.) Spring Valley explodes onto the recruiting scene this fall. He has been flying underneath the radar because he has been at three schools since last September.
Holloway started his junior season playing for Salt Lake City (Utah) Bingham, but due a family move, only played one game before his family moved to Las Vegas last September. He missed half the season, but got back in time to help North Las Vegas (Nev.) Cheyenne go two games deep into the playoffs.

Now for his senior season, Holloway will line up for his third team in a year. He is now at Las Vegas (Nev.) Spring Valley. Just one move will slow down the recruiting process, so you can understand why his recruitment was somewhat slow, but it is beginning to heat up.
Minnesota, Colorado, Colorado State, Washington, Washington State, TCU and hometown UNLV all came by the school to look at Holloway.
Holloway came to the attention of Rivals.com with an outstanding NIKE Camp performance in Los Angeles. Rivals.com recruiting analyst, Barry Every, had the following to say about the talented big man from the desert of Las Vegas.
"On the hoof I would have thought this lineman played on the offensive side of the ball, but that would have been wrong," Every said. "He demonstrated very soft feet, and was a real natural knee bender."
"At his size, his ability to get low makes it impossible for offensive lineman to stop his brute power," Every said. "This beast from the desert was so tenacious and unrelenting he was asked to stop and let other lineman get a chance."
Holloway is planning on attending the UNLV Big Man camp and he may also attend the BYU Camp. In the weight room, Holloway's current bench is 350, he squats 505, power cleans 255 and has recorded a 28.3 vertical.
Holloway is an outstanding all-around athlete who plays basketball. He said his basketball playing as helped him with his overall athleticism and footwork.
What is Holloway looking for in a College?
"I'm looking for a school with a good environment and solid academics," Holloway said. "Location won't be a big factor, I'm looking to go anywhere."
