Vaughns plans summer decision

Tyler Vaughns is now unsure whether he will have time to take unofficial visits this summer but still plans to make his commitment before his senior season starts.
The four-star wide receiver from La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat was considering trips to Alabama, Oklahoma and possibly Georgia before his expected Aug. 25 decision but those visits might not be happening after all.

"How football is going and with school I don't think I will be able to visit during the summer," Vaughns said. "I don't know for sure but I have to talk to my dad about the schedule and everything."
USC is still considered the frontrunner even though Vaughns will not say publicly that the Trojans are the team to beat.
But the writing might be on the wall for the Trojans especially if the Bishop Amat star receiver doesn't take other visits this summer.
USC is loading up at receiver but Vaughns said he's not getting pressure from the coaching staff to make his decision until he's ready.
"They're not pressuring me to commit," Vaughns said. "They're just telling me every time somebody commits to let them know and to keep them informed. They're not pressuring me to do it, they want me to, but they're not putting pressure on me.
"I wouldn't say they're the favorite but I'm still figuring out the process with my family and trying to make sure I make the right decision."
Vaughns is also undecided whether he would take official visits after his commitment especially if he doesn't see Alabama, Oklahoma and others in the coming weeks. First, Vaughns wants to figure out what's best and then he will consider visits later.
"I'm not too sure if I would continue to take visits after I commit," Vaughns said. "There's a chance I could do that."
In his junior season, Vaughns finished with 83 receptions for 1,183 yards and 12 touchdowns.
