Vaughn ready for trip No. 1

The first official visit for one of the nation’s top safety prospects will be this weekend, but that’s not the only news surrounding Plano (Texas) East standout Vickiel Vaughn.
“I’m down to six teams,” Vaughn, who is a 6-foot, 195-pound four-star prospect, said. "I still like a few schools it's hard to narrow them down but I have to do it. Michigan State, Arkansas, Oklahoma, UCLA, Texas A&M, and Miami are the ones I am still looking at. I’m going to take some unofficial visits, along with my official ones."

Speaking of official visits, Vaughn said he and teammate Kellen Tillman are excited about their trip to West Virginia this weekend.
"I'm going to West Virginia for an official visit this weekend," he said. "They have a coach who used to coach at Allen and he has been working the Dallas area real hard he has been hounding me to come for a visit so I guess I'll go check it out.
“I’ve heard some good things about what it’s like up there. I hope that it’s as fun as they say it is.”
