Vaughn impressed by visit
Plano (Texas) West safety Vickiel Vaughn is back from Norman and he said his visit to Oklahoma might have opened up his eyes some.
"I know they need some safeties," Vaughn said. "Michael Thompson was my host, and he was really great to be with. I also spent some time with Roy Williams.

"He talked to me about his future and what he thinks would be best for me. He didn't pressure me or anything but just talked about how I could follow in the same path he took."
Vaughn is now set to visit Arkansas - the only other team he's still considering - either on Jan. 11 or Jan. 25.
"I'd rather visit earlier so I can let the coaches know what I'm doing," Vaughn said. "I spent some time talking to coach Stoops about that and other things.
"I think he made a good impression on my family because he's not just about football. He's about other things. He's just a good man, period."
