THE LATEST: Forney (Texas) linebacker Brendan Vaughn is playing another position at the moment for the Jackrabbits. Vaughn has had to move over to the offensive side of the football and is now the go-to man at receiver for the Forney offense. Vaughn is being a great teammate and is doing what he is asked to do based on the needs of the team.

Vaughn had been playing defense for Forney in the earlier parts of the season. It wasn't until about two or three weeks ago that he moved over to offense. Oklahoma State has told Vaughn that they see him playing at the linebacker position and while Oklahoma State was the only school to officially offer Vaughn he says that there was a number of other schools that were interested in having Vaughn visit.

IN HIS WORDS: "I usually play outside linebacker, but our receiving corp hasn't been too strong this year so I've been playing more receiver than linebacker because of my speed. Oklahoma State sees me playing linebacker though. They see me playing outside and in coverage more like a SAM.

"I only had one offer. I picked up the offer to Oklahoma State and committed. A lot of other schools wanted me to visit though. Those schools were Texas A&M, Baylor, Mississippi State and Arkansas. I am committed and I will not be taking any visits to any other schools. I am going to take my visit to Oklahoma State in December."

RIVALS' REACTION: Vaughn is a good looking recruit. The 6-foot-1 and 213-pound future linebacker for Oklahoma State is really put together. More than that he is a tremendous athlete. I had thought that I would see Vaughn on defense, but on offense he was a real threat. Vaughn had two touchdown receptions and could have had two more if the passes weren't under thrown.

Vaughn may not be one of those kids from the state of Texas that people are just going to know about. Oklahoma State did their research here though. Vaughn is a very solid prospect and while at senior night on Friday night his mom and dad posed for their picture wearing Oklahoma State shirts. Great get for the Cowboys.
