Vaughn dissapointed, but preparing for worst

After a very impressive 4-0 start on the year, senior safety/wide receiver Justan Vaughn and his Pearland (Texas) High School teammates were ready to start district play until the word came that a hurricane was going to shake things up.
Pearland, being not terribly far from Galveston, the 6-foot, 164-pound prospect and his family are looking to not wait around and see what happens when Hurricane Rita makes it's landfall.

"We were scheduled to play Clear Lake (Texas) to start district, but that game has been postponed until Monday," Vaughn said. "It's going to be tough to come back on Monday and start that game. We should be heading to Dallas with my family because my mother's family is there."
"It's tough when you have to drop everything and just leave."
One positive not is that in Vaughn's recruitment, he has seen another offer come his way from the Big 12 bringing his total to six.
"Colorado was my last one about two weeks ago," Vaughn said. "I love the Big 12 conference and Colorado is definitely a strong school there."
It also looks like the player is starting to set up visits, though he is still not fully remembering each and every date he has set up.
"Next month will be heavy along with November with visits," he said. "So far it looks like I'm going to visit Oklahoma State, Utah, Colorado, Northwestern, and Illinois or Missouri. I know one is Oct. 29, but I can't remember which school that is."
