VAs Ryland pulls first two offers

Portsmouth (Va.) I.C. Norcom linebacker Demontray Ryland landed his first two offers last week. Both offers come to the 6-foot-1, 225-pounder from Division I-AA schools.
"I got an offer about a month ago from Norfolk State and then Liberty offered last Friday," he said. "Norfolk State was my first one and I'm very happy. It's a full scholarship and I can't ask for anything more.

"I went to Liberty's junior day last week and was really impressed. It's real nice. I didn't know Liberty was like that."
Ryland plans to hit a couple more schools coming up.
"I think I'm going to Maryland this week and then Old Dominion camp as well," he said. "I'm also hearing from Hampton and Delaware.
"Maryland is just a one day camp. I'm going there to workout and see if they are impressed with me."
With interest picking up, what is Ryland looking for in a college?
"I want to go to a college with a good football program and a real good education. I also want to go somewhere I'm comfortable at."
