Vandy leads for Georgia WR

Jonathan Krause is a wide receiver prospect from Snellville (Ga.) South Gwinnett High School. Krause, 5-11 and 170 pounds, now has seven scholarship offers.
"Vanderbilt, Stanford, Mississippi State, Georgia Southern, Toledo, Tulane, and Ole Miss have offered me," Krause said. "The first team that offered was Ole Miss. It was actually very exciting. I thought it would be forever before I would get my first offer. It was a big weight off my shoulder. Stanford was a great offer too. I love their academics. There, you get a great education and you are playing D1 football."

Of his scholarship offers and the ones that are showing great interest, what teams standout for Krause at this time?
"Right now Vandy is No. 1. I really like them. The only thing keeping me from making my decision is that I just want to make sure it's the right place for me. The program is on the rise. Plus, a degree from there and you are set. I like the campus and the coaches are great.
"I also like Stanford, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Alabama.
"An offer from Alabama could happen if I go to their camp and perform well. I love it there. The stadium is great and so is the campus. They have it all. If they offered me I don't know what I would do.
"Georgia is another school that I need to go to their camp and show what I can do. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
"Right now I am looking at academics first. The football team, campus and environment are all important to me as well."
Krause has visited Alabama (twice), Georgia (four times), Vanderbilt (three times), Central Florida, and Florida (twice).
Last season as a junior he caught 62 receptions, for 600 yards, and four touchdowns. That's a school record for receptions in a season. He also broke the school record for the, longest kickoff return for score (95 yards). He is seven receptions away from becoming the school's career reception leader.
