Vandy leads for Carolina DB

Johnston (S.C.) Strom Thurmond safety Keon Cunningham holds two scholarship offers, is getting plenty of interest from regional programs and currently has a Southeastern Conference leader.
"I still have offers from Vanderbilt and Marshall," Cunningham said. "Wake Forest is looking at me, (South) Carolina is looking at me and Georgia Tech is looking at me."

Cunningham currently has one of those programs on top.
"Vanderbilt is my leader," he said. "They've been after me for a while and they were the first to offer me a scholarship. Plus, they have a good a school academically.
"They also play top schools. They play top competition."
Ted Cain is recruiting Cunningham for the Commodores.
The 6-foot, 185-pounder is hoping to attend a couple of camps at ACC schools in early July.
"I'm going to Georgia Tech for their camp on July 8 and then I may go to Wake Forest to work out with their defensive backs coach."
Another ACC school was the early favorite for Cunningham, but showed no interest, while yet another has piqued his interest of late.
"At first, I really wanted to go to North Carolina," he said. "But they really weren't looking at me too hard. Now I like Maryland a little bit."
There is a strong chance he won't wait until Signing Day to make a decision.
"I will probably make my decision during the season," he said.
Cunningham had three interceptions and seven pass break-ups, to go along with 60 tackles, in 2005.
"I am working on my speed this summer."
