Vanderbilt a late player for 3-star WR Meadors

After leading all players in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas with 84 receiving yards, three-star Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes wide receiver Shaedon Meadors is still waiting to see if any late suitors emerge before he makes his college decision.
Right now it appears that four schools are still in the mix as he mulls his options. Meadors took an official visit to Appalachian State earlier this month and is planning to squeeze in three more next month.

"I'm still planning on taking a visit to Old Dominion and Vanderbilt," he said. "Marshall might get one too if we can make all work out.
Meadors shared his thoughts on the Mountaineers, Commodores and Thundering Herd:
App State: "I took an official there a few weeks ago. That was a pretty good trip. They showed me a lot of the campus that I've never seen. They showed me the brotherhood they have there. They're all tight and I liked it a lot. It was my first official visit and they made a great impression on me. I like the school and they're only a few hours from home. I like the fact that they're moving up to the Sun Belt. That makes it better to be playing at a higher level."
Vanderbilt: "They tell me that they like me a lot and they have two spots open left in their class and I'm at the top of their list at wide receiver. It just depends on whether or not they take another receiver. But they said it's up to the head coach to make a decision. We'll see how that goes. I like the school and the chance to play in the SEC - it doesn't get any better than that."
Marshall: "That was my first offer so I was really excited to get that. We still talk every chance we get and I still like the school. They still might be getting an official visit if I can make it work with my schedule."
Meadors said he will likely wait until National Signing Day before announcing his college decision.
