Valetine misses latest trip

Columbus (Ohio) Eastmoor running back Justin Valentine had to postpone his latest trip.
"I didn't make it to Wisconsin, I was sick," said the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder. "I wanted to go, but I wouldn't have had a good time at all. I was pretty miserable. I'm hoping to take it this weekend so I don't mess up my visit schedule."

Valentine has already been to Minnesota and has Maryland (Jan. 10) and Boston College (Jan. 17). So who leads?
"Well, Minnesota leads a bit because I've been there and I really like coach Mason," he said. "But Boston College has really been recruiting me hard and I like coach Horton there. Wisconsin doesn't offer the same early playing time as the rest but they have great fans. Maryland already has a couple of backs so we'll see."
Valentine, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 205 pounds, wants good academics and a chance to play early.
"I also like schools that run the ball a lot," he said. "I think my top four all do that. Illinois is still in the mix a little bit as well, but I don't want to confuse things too much. I'd like to get this over with after BC."
