Valencia OL National Recruit

When a team has running back who runs for 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns like Charles Burnley has accomplished for Valencia, Calif., you know there has to be outstanding line play. Valencia does have an outstanding line and it is anchored by offensive tackle Alex Gottlieb.
Gottlieb stands 6-foot-5, weighs in at 280 and runs a sterling 4.9 40-yard dash. That is a big man moving in a very quick manner. When you move and have the size of Gottlieb you will get noticed

The likes of Ohio State, Miami, UCLA, USC and Washington have taken noticed and are all recruiting this talented offensive lineman from Valencia.
“Alex can do it all,” Valencia head coach Brian Stiman said. “He’s big, strong and aggressive.”
“Alex can move, which helps his pass blocking and he’s very explosive off the line, which helps him be the dominant run blocker that he is,” Stiman said.
Gottlieb is a very physical lineman who loves contact. Another thing about Gottlieb that has impressed D-I scouts is his arm extension. “Alex has a massive wingspan,” Stiman said.
Gottlieb will be a very important ingredient for one of the best teams in SS CIF Division III and is one of the most sought after offensive line prospects in Southern California for 2002.
Pac10Recruiting will keep you informed Gottlieb and the other fine prospects from Valencia high for 2002.
