Valdosta OL getting big interest

The abundance of top caliber offensive and defensive lineman in the South this year is absolutely incredible. Adding another name to an already long list is Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes offensive tackle/guard Jacquinn Wrice. Wrice is getting interest from some big time programs and could be nearing his first offer.
“I haven’t gotten my first offer yet, but Auburn is close, real close,” Wrice said. “I got calls last month from Central Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia Tech and Auburn. I would say that Auburn is definitely recruiting me harder than anyone else though.”

Wrice measured in at 6-foot-3 and weighed 276 pounds at the Atlanta NIKE camp, where he also ran a solid 5.34 second 40-yard dash.
“My favorites are Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Auburn,’” Wrice said. “I grew up a big Florida fan and I have been hearing a lot from them lately. I haven’t heard as much from Georgia, but they have been sending me letters and stuff.”
As a junior Wrice played offensive tackle for his high school team, but he knows that he will likely end up at guard on the college level.
“I am looking at academics in a school,” Wrice said. “Facilities is something else I will check out, but everybody’s are pretty good. I would like to stay kind of close to home, at least within a few hours of home anyway.”
He plans to attend the “Down and Dirty” camp in Atlanta and Auburn’s camp this weekend.
Wrice boasts a 435-pound squat, 345-pound bench press, has a 23-inch vertical jump and 5.47 second shuttle.
