Vad Lee visits GT, set for camps

Durham (N.C.) Hillside athlete Vad Lee made the trip down to Georgia Tech this past weekend. The 6-foot-2, 193-pounder enjoyed his team in Atlanta. What's next for him?
"It was great," he said. "I got to talk to Coach Johnson. My family and I went up there and we sat in his office.

"I also talked to Josh Nesbitt and walked around and saw a bunch of great stuff."
How was the meeting with Johnson?
"It went great," he said. "He told me how I'd fit their offense and talked about the lifestyle of Georgia Tech and the academic part as well."
Lee didn't get to attend the spring practice, but maintains he was impressed.
"I mean, I definitely feel more comfortable at Georgia Tech now that I've visited and saw how far it is," he said. "It's not too far. It's only about six hours. The campus lifestyle is great; it's in the heart of Atlanta. There is so much to do down there. I know I'll never get bored. They are one of my leaders at this point."
While on the trip, Lee made an appearance at the Badger Elite 7-on-7.
"I did great," he said. "I went with a couple teammates and we showed out. Unfortunately we lost in the second round to Tennessee."
So, where does Lee go from here?
"A few schools are starting to come in including USF and I know Notre Dame was at the school recently. I think those two might be getting close to offering," he said. "In June, I'm just going to go to some camps. I plan to go to USF, NC State, Duke, Maryland, Georgia Tech and North Carolina."
