VA wideout attends camp, adds offers

Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith wide receiver Jamal Wilson took in his first summer camp last weekend. While at the camp, the 5-foot-11, 176-pounder picked up another scholarship offer.
"I went to North Carolina's camp and it was alright," he said. "I didn't really get to check out the school. Mainly I worked with a couple of the coaches. It was good. I liked how they run routes there and I had a good time.

"While I was there, I got offered by Akron. Now I've got offers from Marshall, Maryland, Akron and northern Illinois."
Those four offers are in writing, but Wilson claims four other schools have verbals on the table.
"I've got verbals from Clemson, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Connecticut," he said. "I haven't really talked to those schools, but they are sending me information on the program and coming to camp."
Currently the Chesapeake prospect has no other unofficial visits or camps planned this summer.
Does Wilson have any favorites?
"I've got three, Northern Illinois, Maryland and Marshall, they are sticking out," he stated. "Basically for Marshall, they pass the ball a lot, while I like Maryland and Northern Illinois since they have been talking to me since the start."
