VA sleeper posts huge junior year

After an impressive junior year that saw him earn all-district, region and metro honors after hauling in 68 receptions for 1,145 yards and 11 touchdowns, Dinwiddie, Va. wide receiver DeQuan Coles is starting to get noticed by college coaches. Who's taking an interest in the 5-foot-10, 175-pounder?
"Right now it's a lot of I-AA schools around here, Richmond, William & Mary, Norfolk State and others, but he has gotten some looks from Connecticut too," Dinwiddie head coach Billy Mills said. "I think because of his height they are all waiting and saying, show me what you can do.

"As a player though, he's just explosive and able to catch the short ball and do something with it. He really surprised us as a junior. He's a great blocker, very unselfish and is more than happy to catch one ball then if he caught 14."
Mills discussed his star recruit off the field too.
"He's a super kid that sings in the church choir, is a good student and the kind of person you hope your son grows up to be," he said. "He's a great leader and is one of those kids that does everything you ask of him. Anybody that takes a chance on him will be happy because he's the type that will grdaute and perform on the field."
Later this spring, Coles plans to attend the Nike Camp at Penn State.
