VA RB to stay close to home

Hampton (Va.) Phoebus running back Elan Lewis has been one of the most talked about player in the state of Virginia for the past three years. Lewis has received offers from five schools. Will distance play a factor in the recruitment of Lewis?
"At this point I would say yes. I want to play close enough to home that my family can see me play most of my games," said the 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds.

Who has offered the powerful running back?
"I have scholarship offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, West Virginia, and Syracuse. Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Maryland are my top schools."
Lewis is hard runner with great vision and cutback ability. Last season, Lewis rushed for 1,866 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. What will the talented player's focus be this offseason?
"I am running track right now to help with my speed. I want to be faster. I know I can through people, but I want to be able to run past them as well."
Lewis currently has a 2.5 GPA and will take the SAT on March 27.
