Roanoke (Va.) William Fleming linebacker Darryl Gresham, Jr. put up huge numbers as a junior. Gresham, who is one of the linebackers in the state of Virginia, has racked up three offers. Who has offered the sure-tackling linebacker?
"I have offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Maryland. Nebraska and North Carolina are also showing interest," said the 6-foot-4, 220-pound 'backer who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
Does Gresham have a top five?
"Virginia, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Georgia, and Florida would be my top five but in no particular order though. My dad really likes Florida but they haven't shown any interest yet."
Why is Gresham's dad so high on Florida?
"He played basket at Florida in the eighties. He was on the team with Vernon "Mad Max" Maxwell. He is a big Gator fan."
Last season, Gresham racked up 176 tackles, six sacks, and four forced fumbles. What does he plan to do this offseason to prepare himself for college play?
"I want to get bigger, stronger, and faster. Other than that, I guess there is always room for improvement."
Gresham currently has a 2.2 GPA and will take the SAT on Mar 27.
