VA ATH one of the best in the nation

Highland Springs (Va.) cornerback/running back Victor "Macho" Harris has already racked up 13 scholarship offers. Harris, a Rivals Top 100 selection, is preparing for his senior season. Who has offered the dynamic playmaker?
"I currently have offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, Miami, UCLA, Syracuse, Nebraska, West Virginia, Michigan, Tennessee, and Kansas State. Florida State and LSU have also said that they will offer but I haven't received anything in writing yet," said the 6-foot-0, 186-pound two-way star that runs the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds.

Does Harris have a leader?
"I am not worried about college at this point. I am focused on winning a state title for my high school. Colleges will still be there when I am finished with my season."
Harris rushed for 2,210 yards and scored 37 touchdowns as a running back. On defense, he intercepted eight passes. What position does Harris feel he has the brightest future at?
"Most schools started recruiting me as a cornerback but that was before they saw me carry the ball. Now, most schools are recruiting me as an athlete. I just want to help out my team, no matter what position I play."
Harris works hard on and off the field.
"I take all things surrounding my future seriously. I work hard in the classroom, weightroom, and on the field. I take pride in not cutting any corners. When our coach gives us targets for the weightroom, I work until I can do it to the fullest."
Will distance play a factor in the recruitment of Harris?
"Distance will not play a factor. I don't necessarily want to leave Virginia, but I will go the school that makes me feel the most comfortable. I am looking for a strong coaching staff and team bond."
Harris currently has a 2.8 GPA and will take the SAT this month.
